I love this fabric – the dress turned out pretty great too!
This is the Joni dress from Tilly and the Buttons’ book ‘Stretch’ in a cotton jersey.
I loved the design of this pattern the second I saw it. Big floaty sleeves, a cinched-in waist, boat neck – what’s not to love?
Sometimes, a pattern that should take a few hours ends up taking days because of all the changes required to make it work. Luckily, it’s usually worth it – and that was certainly the case for the In The Folds x Peppermint Magazine peplum top.
A new month, a new pattern test!
This time it was the newest pattern from Designer Stitch, the Dylan Pants. They’re a fitted style of pants with some interesting features that can be made up in a variety of stretch wovens.
This pattern was released just as seemingly every fast-fashion outlet was bringing out these crossover mini skirts – so perfect timing for me to make my own.
This was my first Adrienne Blouse from Friday Pattern Company and all I can say is that it was love at first sight. I seriously love this top and the opportunities the enormous sleeves provide for hiding snacks and contraband in.
This is the ideal summer dress. It is loose and flowy without being so loose and flowy that I could fit a 110-inch flat-screen TV under there; it has fun features AND it covers bra straps – ideal I tell you!
Arlette, how I wanted to enjoy sewing you…
First thing’s first: I love the final result! I wear this skirt constantly and the issues I had were not 100% down to the pattern. I also really like Fibre Mood. It’s a lovely sewing community, the patterns are always super wearable and the instructions are usually solid.
However, I want to be honest and the truth is that this project was a small nightmare.
I loved the design of the Adrienne Blouse from Friday Pattern Company from the second I saw it. It has statement sleeves, a fitted bodice and is a quick and easy sew – what’s not to love?
